Hello lybrate-user. Yes this is normal to have withdrawal symptoms
passive smoking is almost equivalent to active smoking and causes same harm to your lungs as active smoking would do.
But with time withdrawal symptoms will settle
if they donot you can choose to have pharmacological intervention i.e. Medicine for it.

Dear lybrate-user, you are just 20. You will not face any withdrawal symptoms or health consequences on suddenly leaving smoking. Quitting addictive substances is not an easytask. You can go for deaddiction therapy. But according to me, the best method would be, you quit the habbit now itself. Sustain the quitting with the help of self motivation. I suggest counseling and psychotherapy. Please consult a psychologist. Take care.

Dear lybrate-user,
Please try to stop smoking at the earliest. It has many health benefits in the long run.
When you stop suddenly, you may get withdrawal symptoms like restlessness, irritability, lack of concentration, increased hunger, sleep disturbance, headache, impatience, anxiety, depression, etc. If you have them please don’t get back to smoking, take nicotine gum or lozenge or patch. They are available in all medical shops. You don’t need a prescription from doctors.

congratulations on your succesful effort. these are withdrawl symptoms of nicotine for withdrawal symptoms go away completely isn’t
possible, but there are ways to minimize them. How often
and how badly the symptoms affect you varies from person
to person. It partially depends on how you quit. For
example, if you choose the “cold turkey” method without the
use of any smoking cessation aids (such as nicotine
patches or gum), you’ll probably notice symptoms within ...more

So many questions within one question. There are no short cuts to reduce weight. Exercise, diet are tried and tested. To control bad breath, do not eat junk foods, eat timely, evacuate timely and clean your mouth twice, use salt water gargling. You should consult a psychologist to help your husband.

That also means that if you want you can give it up anywhere, anytime. But the better reason to give up smoking is to relate to the harmful effects of tobacco. Also the peer pressure is very great while in college and in the hostel, and it appears that you are not able to say ‘no’. To be ‘in’ with the crowd you may hesitate to refuse to j...more
