This looks like asthma, can be confirmed with detailed questions
inhaled salbutamol is recommended than oral syrup for their side effects. Pressurized metered dose inhaler (pmdi) asthalin can be given with a spacer and face mask, if not relieved pmdi budesonide with salbutamol 100 mcg is better, 1 puff whenever cough occurs.
