there are many ways in which one might want to quit smoking. Primarily if you are smoking only 8 cigarettes per day I would suggest that you fix a quit date on which you will be smoking no cigarettes at all and you may have to decrease smoking by cutting down on one cigarettes every 2-3 days or so, such that you reach your goal of no cigarettes by the quit date. I hope this helps. Although there are medications to help quit
