1. No need to worry, you just have an infection 2. Since skin on ear is tightly atached to cartilage below, even small amount of inflammation can be extremely painful. 3. One course of antibiotics and painkillers will relieve you of pain.

1. You have eustachian tube dysfunction .(any history of hearing loss, ringing sensation, loss of balance/vertigo=could be acoustic neuroma) 2. Did you used to have recurrent cold/history of allergic rhinitis? Any h/o recent air travel?
3.anyways, I would recommend you to get ear looked at through otoscope to rule out any fluid build up in middle ear.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
A ruptured eardrum often heals without any invasive treatment. Most people with ruptured eardrums experience only temporary hearing loss. Even without treatment, your eardrum should heal in a few weeks. You'll usually be able to leave the hospital within one to two days of an eardrum surgery.

A ruptured eardrum can be the result of pressure caused by fluid buildup in the middle ear, often from an infection. It can also result from ear injury or trauma from a foreign body. As a result, you may notice fluid or pus draining from the ear.

Dear lybrate-user, please do not self medicate, instead you should consult a good ent specialist. Merely by using ear drop is not going to solve your condition.

Yes you can use but in case the pain persists please consult an ent specialist as sometimes this may require clearance from ear by suction.

Dear lybrate-user, calm down as for ear pain you should take other antibiotics. As far as the current ones are concerned they have no effect on the brain, so I would advise you to consult your nearby specialist or feel free to book an appointment with me so that further details can be shared.

Depending on level of obstruction and sinus involvement as recorded by nasal endoscopy, surgery may be required, better consult with ent doctor for further management.
