Vitamin D Deficiency Health Feed

I am Losing lots and lots of hair. Doctor said I have d vitamin deficiency which is the reason my hair is getting thinner. I've been prescribed some chewable d vitamin tablets and some pills called nethair. Used them for a couple of months but there was no significant amount of change. My father has better hair than I do as good hair runs in his family. My maternal grandfather has male pattern baldness and hence all my three maternal uncles are bald. Is there a way to stop my thinning hair and receding hairline?

Some amount of loss of hair is common in males. It's common near temples. It's called Male pattern baldness. You didn't mention the duration of your hair loss. Normally, hair grows after it is lost and it takes upto 3 years to restore your lost hair. Generally hair loss is common after stressful situations or after prolonged fever etc. Taking food rich in proteins like milk, eggs and fresh fruits and leafy vegetables help in growth of hair. Coming to family history of balness, you need not worry much about it. Paternal baldness leads to baldness in sons and grand sons. In your case, it's maternal uncles, so it's not a concern.

You should take early morning sun exposure. Take milk and milk products. Also green veges and seasonal fruit. If in case can afford then take a multivitamin tablet..

Taking Tayo 60K (Vitamin D, once per month, will be fine and you have to check your vit D blood level occasionally to check there is no overdosage and blood level is normal

I was having pain in chest (seems like chest bone), I consulted forte healthcare heart doctor after having all tests it was found that I am perfectly fine in cardiac but then doctor asked me to get vitamin d test done. Today I got the report and according to this I am having deficiency of vitamin d i.e. 10. 72 ng/ml What should I do?

Take vitamin D supplements. And also take sun exposure. But I don't think taking vitamin D will solve the problems. You should take treatment to remove the cause of low vitamin D. You can consult me at lybrate...for homoeopathic treatment..

For vitamin early morning sunrays for 1/2 n hr is enough, and for both take egg, milk, badam, dairy products, orange juice, green vegetable etc.

Dear Lybrateuser, - The Sun rays has to fall on bare skin for about 15-20 min for the body to make vit d, clothes & sunscreen hinder the effect - in winter ,upper limbs till elbows & lower limbs till knees can be exposed to sunlight.

Yes you' can take it but not for long time try to get vit d due to natural sources like sunrays, milk, broccoli, egg yolk, mashroom etc do not depend upon supplement therapy.

Hi I have just got my test reports and my vitamin D3 level is just 11 .apparently it's very low .should I start taking Lumia 60k capsule once in a week. Is there any other medication that I should consider .also what are the natural ways of increasing vitamin D3 level .thanks In advance.

Yeah you can take Vit-D3 capsule once a week. For natural methods sunlight is the best source of vitamin-D3. Then milk products can also be preferred. Cheese, egg yolk, salmon fish, tuna, orange juice etc are the dietary sources.
