However, there are certain vital vitamins and minerals too, that are equally important because these help in maintaining the proper health of a human body in various ways. Functions of Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 plays a major role by controlling several factors of the human body. These are necessary for the body to run well and stay healthy. Some of the key functions of Vitamin B12 are listed below:

Foods like poultry, pork, nuts and beans contain high levels of vitamin B6 and you can include more of these to get the recommended dose of vitamin B6. However, since vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin, so you need to replenish your body with it daily as it doesn’t get stored in the body.

अधिक मात्रा में विटामिन बी लेने से नुकसान
विटामिन बी 1 का अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग करना हमारे शरीर के लिए हानिकारक होता है. इसकी अधिक मात्रा से त्वचा में एलर्जी, नींद नहीं आना, होंठो का नीला पड़ना, सीने में दर्द और सांस सम्बन्धित बीमारी हो सकती हैं. और गर्भवती महिला तथा उस के गर्भ में पल रहे शिशु के दिमाग पर भी बुरा प्रभाव पड़ता है.
विटामिन बी 3 का भी अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग करना हमारे शरीर के लिए हानिकारक होता है. इसके अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग से लिवर को नुकसान पहुंचने, पेप्टिक अल्सर तथा त्वचा पर रैशेज जैसी बहुत सारी समस्याएं होने लगती हैं.
विटामिन बी 6 का भी अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग करना हमारे शरीर के लिए हानिकारक होता है. इसके अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग से पेट में अकड़न जैसी समस्या होती है. साथ में नवजात शिशु को इसका अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग करना नवजात शिशु के लिए भी नुकसानदायक है. विटामिन बी 12 का अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग गर्भवती महिला के लिए अच्छा नहीं होता है.
विटामिन बी 12 का अधिक मात्रा में उपयोग करने से हमारे पर बुरा प्रभाव पड़ता है साथ-साथ त्वचा पर खुजली, चक़्कर आना, सिर में दर्द जैसी समस्याएं हो सकती हैं.
विटामिन बी की कमी के लक्षण और नुकसान
विटामिन बी हमारे शरीर के लिए बहुत ही आवश्यक होता है. विटामिन बी पानी मे घुलनशील होता है. विटामिन बी का प्रमुख कार्य स्नायु को स्वस्थ रखना तथा भोजन के पाचन मे मदद करना है. पर जब हमारे शरीर में विटामिन बी की कमी हो जाती है तो बहुत से रोग होने की सम्भावना बढ़ जाती है.

Vitamin B is not one vitamin, but is a complex of 8 vitamins, which not only are essential for a good health, but also facilitates smooth functioning of our body. Vitamin B is a complex of following vitamins B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Pantothenic acid), B6, B7 (Biotin), B9 (Folate), B12. It is widely present in food sources and a person who eats a well-balanced diet will have the requisite amount of B complex in body. 

  1. Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is required for the body to make new cells and so has a significant role in the immune system. It is also known as the anti-stress vitamin as it helps in improving immunity and is required for breakdown of carbohydrates.
