Hello doctor, I want to check with you regarding my 5 years old son. It's very difficult for me to make him listen to me. He troubles me a lot in day to day activities. Convincing him for studies, eating, drinking milk etc. At times I get upset and I shout on him and at times beats him as well. Which is making things worst. I feel the bond in between us is not that strong and it getting weak only. I have been a working mother and some how I have managed kid with my work. I take help of story books to make him understand difference between good and bad habits and all. When I dint fulfill his wishes he shouts on me. If I say no for anything he will try to get that thing knowing that I won't like it. He tries to snatch things from me. I feel very bad as I feel my parenting is not going on a right way. Usually younger children are attention deficient. And as you mentioned she is mature enough she thinks that she can handle life situations better then anyone else and here lies their immaturity and when things did not work according to them they behave strange at times. Like you mentioned. So just try to talk to her and if it is due to some problem in her life. Help her to solve it. If it progress more you can consult a psychiatrist too.
