Dear lybrate-user,
one of the common causes for dizziness in patients with long standing blood pressure issues is either uncontrolled high blood pressure or low blood pressure especially on standing up, what we call postural hypotension. Your physician / cardiologist can help with this. Not all cases of postural hypotension will need medication and in those patients being aware and learning management techniques will go a long way in symptom control. Since there is a fainting feeling, and bl...more

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, since you have been having symptoms over a long time, it is very important that you see a good ent surgeon and identify the problem so the correct treatment can be given. It would be depressing and stressful to anybody if they have to put up with symptoms over along time. If the correct diagnosis is made then yes your problem can be managed well but for that you need to first consult a good ent surgeon.
Best wishes.

Best to consult an ent specialist and a neurologist for a proper work up of vertigo. Are there any associated symptoms with it like vomiting, fever, headache? It is advisable to rule out any serious underlying pathology.

Dear lybrate-user, you have already done several tests all pointing towards the fact that your vertigo is due to your ear problem and your brain. Such conditions require a thorough vestibular (ear) and neuro-otological (brain) evaluation) before any drug therapy be started. Though how you managed to get all these tests done is a wonder on its own. Yours sincerely.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
If your peripheral vertigo is caused by an inner ear infection or a disease, you may have some pain or a feeling of fullness in your ear. In labyrinthitis and meniere's disease, you may have hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing of the ears) in one or both ears along with the vertigo.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
