Varicose veins can cause pain, swelling and ulcer formation. Wearing compression stockings where applicable can reduce the pain and other symptoms to a certain extent. Surgery is an option. Endogenous laser treatment is the latest and safe treatment alternative. There are no home remedies as such.

There is no medical treatment for varicose veins, calcium dobesalate has some role so does pentoxyphylline and microionised flavonoid fractions, but get treatment from specialists as they will tell you the best options there are including endovascular laser, sclerotherapy and regular use of compression stockings.
