Yes only such treatment shrink but it is not permanent effect and you can not take for long time.
Depending on age of patient, complaints, location of fibroid and patient's needs of future treatment is decided.

1) dizziness is not related to myoma
2) myoma is benign (not worrisome) tumor in uterus. 3) what to do depends on complaints, size, location etc. So consult gynecologist.

Hello, i'm 26 unmarried virgin girl. 2 years back I had laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis chocolate cyst 9 cm. And i'm suffering from endometriosis. After surgery I took digest 2 mg twice a day for 6 months, but while taking this tablet I suffered a lot with stomach pain, spotting, break through bleeding and vomiting. So doctor suggested ethinyl estradiol (0.02 mg)+desogestrel. (0.15 mg) ocp back to back for 63 days once per day. After 63rd day I stopped this tablet, so that my periods came. From 3rd day again I started tablet for 63 days. Like this for 6 months. Then my doctor told me to take this tablet for 42 days back to back. Till may 2021 I took this tablet like this. But on may month I suffered with severe bleeding while taking that ocp tablet. To stop bleeding I took norethisterone 5 mg. My question is shall I take norethisterone 5 mg once a day continuously for 42 days cycle for 2 years? (like ocp). And what are the side effects on this tablet? Is there any serious side effects on this tablet? Note: don't suggest ocp combination pill again, bcoz it is not suitable for me.

Dear lybrate-user,
you are an unmarried young girl. It is not advisable for you to take norethisterone tablets for long periods like 2 years. But there are long acting injectables like lupron depot of various strengths. You could take it under the supervision of a gynecologist to alleviate your severe symptoms. Wish you symptom free future years.

Hi since you are touching 41 years of age that is nearing menopausal period. Fibroid uterus grows it is very rarely to become a cancerous tissue so I would advise you contact directly for more details and discussion on treatment protocol. They have options because there are aneurysm also which can be corrected by interventional procedures which will treat both fibroid and also aneurysm coiling with the help of interventional neurologist.

Since there was spotting that is improper endometrial tissue formation which is why the doctor has advised you playing progesterone which is a regestrone tablet. but I prefer not to continue at a stretch of 2 months of progesterone but give a break
