To treat an inflamed or infected cyst your doctor may drain the infection and place you on antibiotics. But draining the contents of the cyst does not remove the cyst cavity itself. So the cyst “comes back” when it fills back up with oil and dead skin cells.

Ovarian cyst less than 5 cms usually does not need operation, and can be treated with medicine. You can be pregnant but if you have not done any tests you need to do blood sugar fasting level, TSH, Prolactin, Hb, TC, DC levels, (ultrasound of pelvis), husband’s semen analysis. If all these are normal then HSG x-ray to see the tubes- this you can do after 6 months of treatment. Without reports no advice is proper.
