The cdc recommends that an infant receive the first dose at age 2 months, the second dose at age 4 months, and the third dose, depending on which vaccine is being used, at age 6 months. Both vaccines require a booster shot sometime between ages 12 and 15 months. No child younger than 6 weeks should receive the vaccine.

The covid-19 vaccines presently available in india, i.e. Covishield and covaxin are classified as inactivated (non-live) vaccines. Theoretically, administration of these vaccines to breastfeeding women should not render any harm to the breastfed infant.

Hello priyanka, thank you for posting your query. Vit A supplementation are recommonded by WHO inall countries where its deficiency is known to be a severe public health concern. itsth given to prevent night blindness. In India, we give oral vit. A liquid ( retinyl palmitate or acetate) to all children from 9 months onward, every 6 months till 3 years of age.
