Madam / sir, I am suffering from endometrial cyst. My cyst size is 4.3 * 4.5 cm.i have been taking ovral l tablets for three months and I am still bleeding a little. Informing the doctor, the doctor told me to take two tablets with a gap of seven days. But madam, if I take dienogest tablet instead of this tablet, do I have to give a gap of seven days?

Madam / sir, I am suffering from endometrial cysts. My age is twenty six and I am unmarried. From january 9, I suddenly started bleeding and having pain. The doctor suggested me three gnrh injections and ovral l tablets but even after taking the ovral l tablet, my bleeding is going on a little bit. So when I went to the doctor again, he told me to start taking the dienogest tablet with a gap of seven days. Madam I am still taking ovral l tablet. Please tell me how to start taking dienogest tablet. Size 4.3 * 4.5 cm.please tell me if there should be a gap of seven days when the pill is changed.

Am 37 years old women recently I gave birth to a baby boy he is 8 months ,via c sec second tym ,after 6 months of c sec I got my periods back with heavy bleeding not so much but more than normal ,i got my periods after 10 months after my first baby ,i had an ultrasound which shows small fibroids maximum about 1.6x1.3 mm doc gave me sysron 5 mg for 20 days, will my fibroid shrink or will I get my normal periods back. please reply am worried as both my sister and mother had done with hysterectomy because of fibroids and am scared of fibrous?

Hello, fibroids presently are small and can be controlled by being on progesterone only pills. Butas long as the menses would arrive, they would keep growing. So the aim should be to stop menses with progesterone only pills. But if you wish your menses to arrive then best shall be to be on low dose oc pills.

Hi, my mother, 52, is post-menopausal, obese (91. 1 kgs), recently hypertension (bp 120/80 with meds) has a case history of gastritis and spondylitis. She has bowel problems since her gastritis. On 21 feb she had a vaginal bleeding and then on 31st march. We got checked her up by a doctor. The tvs has revealed "1.19 cm endometrium, thickened and homogenous" rest all normal. No signs of a tumor too in the tvs, uterus size normal, myometrium & pouch of douglas clear, both ovaries and kidneys good. There will be an endometrial biopsy next wednesday. Will it be late by then? She hasn't taken a single medicine till now. We are still tensed about any form of uterine cancer? She has been going to the bathroom 4 5 times since last 2 days, maybe in tension. Is this normal? Is this cancer? What is the chances of total cure if it's cancer? Will she survive? Please help me on this doctors. This is eating us up.

Dear lybrate-user ji
regarding your mom's case, bleeding per vaginum post menopausal may be due to atrophic vaginitis that occurs to such ladies in 4-5 years after menopause. Other reasons can be cervical polyps, uterine hyperplasia (ruled out be tvs). Let us wait for endometrial biopsy and get the results. Other symptoms are just psychological due to anxiety. I had ovarian cystectomy 3 years back. Recently one and a half month back I had an ultrasound abdomen bcoz I had similar pain like I had 3 years back before cystectomy. I started taking femilon since one and half month. Even after that, I have similar pain.
