I believe you have diabetes mellitus and it is of the type two, more commonly known as t2dm and therefore your doctor has you on volix m 0.2. As I psychiatrist I believe you should not be drinking alcohol at all. However, if you are obligated to do so for any reason, there is no need to skip your tablet for diabetes if you are planning on having a meal as well before during or after consumption of alcohol. You have not mentioned your present blood sugar levels. Follow diabetes diet which simply means eating the healthiest foods in moderate amounts and sticking to regular mealtimes. Hello, Thanks for the query.
Fasting glucose 145 mg is very high. Ideally it should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg. Only Glimepiride 2 mg may not be beneficial. Some additional drugs may be required. What is the PP glucose levels & HbA1c%. With aging skin does become dry and wrinkled. That is a normal process. Thanks.
