Hi. Two antibiotics at the same time may not help. Until really needed. Varicose veins in the leg can be sorted - 1. Medication may not help much. 2. Get a good bilateral lower limb venous doppler scan done. 3. Depending on scan report + clinical condition = may need stockings or minimal invasive day care treatment i.e. Laser (EVLT) or RF or MoCa (latest) which we consult and treat.

My mom suffers from Varicose Veins. She has swelling and pain in both of her legs. I have seen many doctors (orthopedic, General surgeon and more) in my town. All the doctors say that the problem doesn't have a permanent solution. Since the problem is in multiple veins, operating on some veins will not cure it, as other veins in future will have the same problem. The only cure or alternative they suggest is to use compression stocking. Do any cure exist for the Varicose vein problem? I have seen many medical websites and mostly it looks like they close the vein which is leading to improper blood flow or damaged. Is this treatment effective? While searching online I found this old article (2004) Indiatimes.com/city/delhi/AIIMS-to-cure-in-a-lighter-vein/articleshow/805914. Cms Suggesting "Percutaneous Venous Valve Placement" but searching more on it looks like it is related veins near heart? Is it a treatment for varicose vein? Please suggest me any good doctors/hospitals and treatment for the same. And thanks a ton for helping me.

There are alternative medicines, but they also need to be taken life long.
You need to mantain INR around 2.5.
If INR is mantained, no harmful effects, otherwise bleeding can occur.

Hi,
please get done venous duplex. Consult vascular surgeon or dermatologisy. Confirm its relation to varicose vein. Then you have many ninsurgical or minimal intervention cosmetic options for treatment. And avoid itching over them. Because if you get ulcer it might land you in trouble.
