Blood pressure goes up when drinking alcohol and, when the liquor's in your body, it breaks down into a compound, acetaldehyde. When your body cannot metabolize the compound, the blood capillaries in your face (and neck and shoulders) dilate and turn your face red. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.

One or two pegs of alcohol if taken slowly in one hour is safe. Beer is equally safe in small quantity.

Dexona & alcohol are harmful combinations and should not be given. Assuming that dexona was prescribed to him for a medical condition, he would need it. But, he should not take the medicine with/after/before alcohol. He would probably need alcohol de-addiction as early as possible. Please consult a psychiatrist. Also, please consult with the doctor who prescribed dexona regarding the alcohol-consumption issue.

Dear lybrate-user,
I don't know about terbest. But with clonazepam, alcohol has additive effect. Better to avoid alcohol. The effects depend on the dose of clonazepam, the alcohol type, amount, time taken to drink, food, whether you have driving help, etc.
Since clonazepam is an anxiolytic, this is the time to stop smoking. You are just 20 years, better not to become dependent on smoking. It is difficult to quit later on.
