I am 27 and I have been suffering from this problem from last 7 months. When I am taking anything in my hand like cream or powder anything that is under my hand appears double. When I talk to someone some other person going from behind that person or from side to that person appears double. When I am putting paste on my brush tiles are double. When I am washing hands and taking bath tiles appears double. While using phone and walking my legs appears four. When I am seeing my naval my legs are four and when I see my legs my naval is two. If there is any spot in the mirror it is double when I try to make that spot single my face is double. While eating bathing brushing teaching one or the other thing will be double. All eye tests done MRI dome but there is no issue in it. Big big towers, aeroplanes appears double if there is any obstacle in the middle. Pls help me out. What treatment can be done to get rid of it. This problem goes off when I close one eye.

Usermy father aged 64, has a medical history of bipolar disorder since past 5 years, he is on continuous medication and his condition is also improved. For last 1 year he is also on medication for high bp and also experiencing constipation .since last 1 week his constipation has become severe bp is rising and most importantly he is going through memory lost and also not responding much to conversations. What could be the reason for this?

Dear sir/madam am talking amisulpride 200 (0-0-1) and zeedon 2 mg (risperidone) 0-0-1 for more than 6 years. There has been no episode in between these years. There is no symptoms or irrational thoughts. I am branch manager in a bank. I do all the work and feel better. Should I talk to my doctor to reduce dosage now, if there is no symptoms for six years, does it render essentially of decreased dosages or eventually end it? Would I be able to abandon drugs. How many years medication prolongs in such cases. Kindly guide.

I am suffering from schizoaffective disorder as diagnosed by my doctor I have eaten psychiatric medicine for the past 10 years. Names of some medicines which is prescribed by my doctor that I took in these 10 years are - duzela, revocon, sulpitac, prolidine, luramax, adesam, braingis, melzap etc. I ate all these medicines for the long term presently, my doctor prescribed me the following medicines-1. Zonalta 8 (night one tablet) 2. Arpizol 5 (night one tablet) 3. Prolidine 2.5 (morning one tablet) I want to know the above-mentioned three medicines along with the medicines I took in the past ten years are safe or not.

I think your daughter may be treated for Bipolar 1. I suggest you take her immediately to a counselor and treat her with talk therapy too. I am 43 years old unmarried woman. I am 78 kgs and 5' 2 inches. I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I feel anxiety. Mujhe dar lagta rehta hai. Mujhe ghabrahat hoti rehti hai. Mera mood off rehta hai. Mera kaam karne ka mann nahin karta. I feel no motivation to do any work. I am taking divaa - 500 mg two times daily, sizodon ls one time at night and ativan 2 mg daily one time at night. I am taking etilaam 0.5 for ghabrahat. Mujhe yeh medicines lena ke baad bhi motivated feel nahin ho raha. Is this treatment right?

Discuss your symptoms with your treating psychiatrist and get the medications revised if they do not help even after taking for a month or so. Many times it is difficult for the psychiatrist to get all the symptoms under control in one go, so give him/ her time and for most the symptoms subside over a period of time. Even after say 3-6 months you still feel unsatisfied, get a second opinion. Good luck.

Dear lybrate-user, amisulpride causes constipation as it decreases speed of intestines.
I do not know your condition for which you are taking. Amisulpride causes weight gain too.
I suggest you ask your psychiatrist for ssri as most atypical antipsychotic like amisulpride causes constipation.
You do not have to worry if there are other symptoms. Simply change of medication will reverse the symptoms.

My father is a 63 years old patient of multiple diseases like "schizophrenia, parkinson, hearing, neurological issues and more and currently on the bed. He is facing the problem of bed sores. I'm taking care of him at home and cleaning, applying cipladine powder on bed sores wounds. I am not giving any oral medicines. Also, no local doctor want to visit at home. it is burdensome to care for a bedridden father. Please go to a nearby hospital and get a nurse to come home. She/he will teach how to heal the bedsores and also to prevent it. Please buy an air or water bed.
