You are advised to seek counseling along with the medication for anxiety and depression. Life is full of problems as a norm. Any attempts to escape will never help: you must learn to face these problems every day with good success. The counselor will help you in this regard. I also strongly believe that every crisis offers an opportunity for change, if you seek it and grab the opportunity. Please meet with a counselor and work on your emotions, particularly anger and fear. Exercise is very impor...more

I think your daughter may be treated for Bipolar 1. I suggest you take her immediately to a counselor and treat her with talk therapy too. You deserve love, happiness, and sexual pleasure just like anyone else. Your past does not determine your worth. As you embark on your mbbs journey, focus on self-care and healing. Forgiving your ex-partner, while challenging your beliefs can free you from resentment. Be open to building new relationships and friendships. Stay committed to your studies for personal growth. Seek support from friends and family or professional counselling to navigate these emotions. Remember, you're young with amp...more

MD - Psychiatry

Psychiatrist•Chennai

Discuss your symptoms with your treating psychiatrist and get the medications revised if they do not help even after taking for a month or so. Many times it is difficult for the psychiatrist to get all the symptoms under control in one go, so give him/ her time and for most the symptoms subside over a period of time. Even after say 3-6 months you still feel unsatisfied, get a second opinion. Good luck.
