Hello lybrate-user sorry for your symptoms. Usually antibiotics don't cause sexual side effects. But if you are taking any other medications it can very well alter the actions of other medications in the body which can cause some sexual side effects. Antibiotic is a general term for hundreds of medications so unless and until we know which one particularly you are using it is hard to tell. Also it depends if it is used on skin ie. Topically vs it is orally taken as a pill and which other pills a...more

Hello. It would be helpful if you could specify since how long you have been taking these medicines and also since how long have you used alcohol. Erection problems could be psychogenic, or it could be the side effect of a medicine or long term use of alcohol. If it is causing hindrance in your sexual life, I suggest you consult a psychiatrist.

Levonorgestrel has a success rate of around 85-95% if taken within two days of unprotected intercourse.
Even though it nausea/vomitting can be one of the side effects related to levonorgestrel. It might not have anything to do with it working or not.

His seizure was probably related to his alcohol use, it is quite common to have seizure in alcohol users especially while they abruptly decrease the quantity of alcohol use or completely stop taking alcohol suddenly. It can also happen during alcohol intoxication though it is rare. It is in your best interest if you take him to a addiction psychiatrist who will opine the best regarding his condition and management. In the mean time continue librium and decrease the dose of anxilor-2 to half and ...more

The test of bacterial culture test can be altered if the patient has already been taking antibiotics at the time of taking sample. Because if you are already taking antibiotics the bacteria may not grow on culture. So, you should interpret the results of test in context of the patient.

Hi lybrate-user,
dexona has nothing to do with alcohol addiction treatment. Its not advisable to take any medicine without a clinician's advise. Please consult an addiction psychiatrist nearby, who can help you quit alcohol with safer and effective medications.
