I am an unmarried woman. I got nipple discharge and I consulted a gynaecologist. They suggested blood test and ultrasound scanning. The blood test result showed high prolactin 35 ng/ ml and prominent fibroglandular tissues with tdlu in mammosonography. I need to know the reason for high prolactin and the density of the breast and it's risk in future.

Hello,
High prolactin levels are due to excessive breast handling during sex or self pleasure practices, or there can be microprolactinomas in pituitary gland of brain which can cause high prolactin levels- suspected by frequent central headaches.

Your girlfriend is having galactorrhoea ,it could be due to many reasons mainly - raised prolactin levels or due to repeated manual stimulation or side effect of some medication.
Get her serum prolactin levels.
If raised she will need treatment.

You will need blood reports like prolactin and Thyroid - TSH.

White discharge without pregnancy is not normal. U need to check your prolactin and thyroid level. In hyperprolactinemia breast milk production starts without pregnancy.
