I am chewing tobacco for last 20 years. However never faced any major issue. But, for last 4 years I am facing anxiety which is not very mild but I was prescribed with etilaam pro 20 then which I continued on and off. Currently I am using this medicine on and off and it makes me feel better. Sometimes I feel headaches which goes and comes and sometimes it lives whole day. My heartbeat increases while climbing stairs and while walking fast. Feeling irritated, I never feel fresh when I get up in morning even after 8 to 9 hrs of sleep. Anxiousness, anger and irregular and insufficient bowel movements I am facing. I am prescribed with (1) Dr. Reckeweg crataegus oxy q (2) tabqcum 200 ch I am using these medicines since 12 may 2020. However I am not feeling any kind of relief from my above mentioned symptoms. My questions are - (1) how long these homeopathic medicines take to show some effect and (2) are these medicines alone are adequate? Or need to include some other medicines too?

All the problems that you have mentioned are the side effects of the medicine etilaam pro. Irritability, headache, upset bowel all are the after effects of this. Talk to your doctor who has prescribed you this medicine. Don't stop it suddenly. Or ask him to reduce its dose. You need to understand that, these medicines are not good in the long run. I would suggest you to take counseling too along with the medicine. It will really help you out from your anxiety.

Dear user. I can understand. Panic attack a sudden overwhelming feeling of acute and disabling anxiety. Panic disorder is different from the normal fear and anxiety reactions to stressful events. Panic disorder is a serious condition that strikes without reason or warning. Symptoms of panic disorder include sudden attacks of fear and nervousness, as well as physical symptoms such as sweating and a racing heart. Panic attack always happens due to an underlying anxiety disorder. So you need to tre...more

Do not take any medicine without dr's prescription, if prescribed, swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Use honey if you have much problem swallowing it.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. However, there is no mention of certain critical values like TSH, Testosterone, Prolactin. Since you have mentioned about having (or had) prolactinoma, but there is no mention about any medication for that or any surgery.
One more important aspect is your grade 2 obesity with a BMI of 36.35 kgs/Sq meter (ideal body weight 67 to 68 kgs). Which suggests an excess of 37 to 38 kgs. Therefore, unless all the details are clearly state...more

Actually, answer to your question is very difficult. You see, the people in drug development check many interaction of the drug with other substances; but, I seriously doubt they check interaction with lassi/buttermilk. As this is unknown, would suggest you to take the medicine with water, and savor the lassi/buttermilk later.

Dear lybrate-user,
please consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. You seem to be having ideas of self reference. It can occur in many disorders. It needs proper diagnosis. Alprax is not a solution for this - nor it is for sleep. Stop it, if not available.

Hi lybrate-user!
I understand how this whole situation can be frustrating for you. I'm wondering if it would be in your best interest to seek emotional support at this point and follow up with your psychiatrist. Medications are essential in the control of symptoms and are of absolute importance. However, long standing depression may require therapy to work through it. Your therapist would help you to bring the thoughts and emotions triggering the depression, to your awareness and help you pr...more
