Hello and welcome to Lybrate, I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Alcohol withdrawal symptoms should be explained as to how you feel like. Drinking lots of water and lemon juice can help you to detoxify the system. The withdrawal symptoms will be there for some days. Then it should vanish.
Hope I have answered your query. You can contact me for further advice and treatment options. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Dear mam, I can imagine it must be quite tough for you. The medicines used for treatment of alcohol addiction may cause severe side effects and hence should be prescribed and used only under supervision of a psychiatrist. So do not medicate him by yourself. I gather that he is unwilling to see a doctor. Talk to him about how concerned you are for him. Talk to your family and ask your family to intervene and encourage him to seek help.

No it's not advisable. Alcohol is no way related to brain function particularly for any kind of improvement related to memory.

It is ok, but dont increase the frequency of consumption. Monthly once can be called as social drinking but I have seen lots of people with weekend drinking along (once a week) having severe liver and other problems. So for now you are OK, but you need to maintain the same. All the best

Disulfiram acts by producing unpleasant symptoms after ingestion of alcohol. Repetitively experiencing unpleasant symptoms after taking alcohol makes a person quit alcohol.
It does not produce any mental change by itself. Anyway, 3 days is a very short time period to anticipate any behavioural change.
CAUTION: Disulfiram can be potentially lethal. Use only as advised by your Doctor.
