As you mentioned your father is taking ecosprin, it is highly recommended to get his imaging by ct scan or mri.
The medicines are safe but you need to check whether they are required or not.
Antibiotics are only required if there is obvious cut or open wound is present. I recommend for clinical examination of the patient.
