As far as your tonsils are not inflamed and not causing difficulty in swallowing or pain .just leave it .next time it getts inflamed we can extract if needed. Take care.

If the child is having the symptoms often then you nd to go for surgery else there might be complications. Antibiotics and other medication will reduce the symptoms but again might after a month or two you will come with the same complian. Preventive measures: maintain oral hygeine by asking her to gargle after every meal ,no to ice cream and freezed food, avoid cold as far as possible. U have to consult ent specialist regarding further evaluation and treatment.
