Gargling with warm salty water might help in the early stages. This might even dislodge the stones, but it can take some time. Continue this treatment for at least two weeks, and you might want to add some grapefruit extract to the water. Anti-septic mouthwashes are an effective alternative to salty water.

You could be having an infected tonsil the way you have described it.
Do you have fever? You could be having an apthous ulcer too which is quite painful & you will have difficulty in swallowing.
If you an infection then an antibiotic course will help. If it is an apthous ulcer then a calcium syrup along with folic acid will help.
