Sir I am 29 years male since birth I had difficulty in speaking because of tongue tie. In the year 2008 an ENT specialist cut it but still my tongue is short and thick and I have to be very carefully while speaking. Is there any treatment for it .plz help me.

Tongue tie will not give such symptoms but some other issue could be there with his feeding or digestion it is better to consult a paediatrician and get your baby checked clinically before taking any measures.

When child can not take out the tongue and have spongy franum below tongue to connect base of pharynx we call it tongue tie. Well if you thing child doesnot speek because of tongue tie. You are wrong. Because we do not speak by tongue. Tongue is for taste and propell the food backwards.

My new born baby is unable to take breast feeding. He is 17 days old. When he born oxyzen is not reached properly in his mind. So doctor take him in NICU for 15 days. The child come home from hospital. But he is unable to take mother breast feed. Please help me.

You have not mentioned birth wt. however, your appears premature born by about 8 weeks and could not breath just after birth necessiating him to keep in NICU. If mother's nipples are normal and baby is able to suck, go on keeping him on breast for some time and then give him breast expressed milk with spoon. If it does not work, consult pediatrician particularly for neurologial assessment too.

If his vital parameters of the body are normal than he will develop the habit of sucking the nipples for milk but we have to make him get adjusted to breast feed and also rule out any defect in the nipples of the mother.

For your baby breast feeding is the best way to thrive. Learn techniques to feed your child regularly if you are a house wife. If working then cow's milk is the best provided you get it pure. Every time you have have to give freshly used preboiled milk after removing the cream. Don't use leftover milk again, if giving by bottle preboil it. Feed at the room temperature or lukewarm.

There is certainly a way to avoid it, that is maintenance of oral hygiene. Brush twice daily, keep your teeth clean and visit your dentist at least every six months. In case the situation has already progressed, there are certain methods to treat the same. Most common way being periodontal surgery. Ideally upper teeth have to be slightly ahead of the lower teeth in ideal bite. If they are not you can have issues in medical. Ask your dentist to try using some appliance to expand the upper jaw in transverse and saggital direction.

Hi. The teeth that is not in proper alignment will not cause stammering but it may pose discomfort while speaking. I would suggest you to visit your nearby dentist as per your convenience and if the milk teeth is still present get it extracted and then go for braces so as to bring out the teeth which is inwards into proper alignment.

It's not like that. During this treatment most of patients not able to brush their teeth and food particles are sticking in teeth. If you not maintain your oral hygiene that may cause bleeding gums, receding gum. So pls take time to brush in proper manner specialised brush and techniques. Do deep cleaning by dentist.
