Hi there, do you have tinnitus in the same ear as the retraction. What is the type of sound. Most of the time it is the effect produced by the sound which doesn't allow to concentrate. Ist thing is to avoid thinking about it. Like we are not aware of breathing all the time because we are not constantly thinking about it. Same thing has to be done with tinnitus. However we have to treat the cause side by side. So first we need to find the cause of tinnitus.

Tinnitus could be due to exposure to loud noises , earwax , middle ear infection, Méniere's disease – a condition that also causes hearing loss .

Ringing in ears or tinnitus coukd be due ti ear infections , ear wax, calcium deposits,wated in ear, loud sounds.

Prolonged exposure to loud sounds is the most common cause of tinnitus. It could be due to wax too.
