I have hypothyroidism 9.05 I have been experiencing shortness of breath and I do not know the right dosage but after using 50 mg levothyroxine my heart rate increased I use 25 mg before that when it showed 6.7 recently I stopped using and went for test and got 9.05 help me figure out my problem shortness of breath is my major problem.

Shortness of breath may be unrelated to hypothyroidism
you need to get a pft spirometry to ascertain whether you have obstructive or restrictive airway disease.
If any of this disease is detected on pft then further investigation can be done for evaluation of chest for the final cause of breathlessness.
Do you have any history of allergy to dust smoke animal dander, cold cloudy weather increases breathlessness.

I have seen the query. The information about thyroid profile is too old. You will have to get current thyroid profile (t3, t4 & tsh) done and report that. Plus madam please remember hypothyroidism is not cured. Patient has to take the supplement of levothyroxine (in adequate dosage) for life time. My father age 62, non diabetic and no bp, but from dec 2022 he has hypothyroidism and his bp was 190/100, symptoms was swelling face legs hands. Dr. Prescribed thyronorm 100 and telmikind h. After 6 weeks his symptoms was not reduced. Then we go for another lab test where his tsh reduced from 40 to 12, but creatinine level jumped 1.3 to 3.02, next day 4.11 and then 5.22. Serum albumin is below range. Urine albumin ++++. He was admitted to hospital and got 3 bottles of albumin. Medicine prescribed- nefrosave keto, atorvastatin 40, clonodil 100 mg, iron-calcium tablets, lasix 40 tab. Taking this medicine from 1st feb. Steroids was not prescribed. Recent reports (20/02/2023) is creatinine 5.02. Albumin is 2.0 total protein is 4.4. Usg finding- bilateral pleural mild effusion and ascites. Bilateral early nephropathy. Please suggest medicine for protect his kidney.

I had total thyroidectomy back in 2017 and after that I take 225 mg thyronorm. I repeat blood test in 3 months or 4 months of thyroid some time report of thyroid comes in normal range and some time tsh high in december it was 35 and in july it was normal. Sometimes I misses the doses also.

I have seen the details mentioned. Please understand with thyroidectomy, you will have to be on adequate dosage of levothyroxine so that tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l. Missing the dosage is not good. Plus you need to keep checking the thyroid profile at least once I 3 to 4 months so as to know the exact situation. If you have any other queries please do come back. every time I test tsh it's 6.5 and t3 t4 are normal. I consulted endocrinologist she suggested me to start 25 mcg thyronorm. During pregnancy it was changed to 50 mcg. Dint take thyronorm for 4 months after delivery. Now I tested again tsh is 6.55 and t3 t4 are normal. What should I do?

Madam I have seen the details. The tsh levels mentioned are definitely higher than what should be normally seen at your age. This is suggestive of sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Hi, my gynecologist prescribed 25 mg thyroid medication at the time of my pregnancy. After 3 months from delivery, I stopped that medication.
