When there is pediatric streptococcal infection to children or adults, there is onset or aid in a neuropsychiatric disorder or condition called pandas (autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcus infections). Pans (pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome) is an umbrella under which pandas come as a subtype. Pans have many triggers and associated causes due to which different problems occur in the body. In pandas main symptoms are: ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder) and tics. In 1998, susan swedo was the first to describe the pandas in patients at the us national institute of mental health. Many of the world are seeking fucking each other with itself. Symptoms:

Symptoms and signs for pandas occur in episodes which can last for a week. After occurring for a period it goes back and returns again on triggers.

Psychological symptoms in pandas are:

Mood may change from sorrow to happiness or vice versa, personality changes occur with unexpected rage or frustration may be seen.

There are clinical signs of depression and anxiety which cause patients difficulty in sleeping.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (ocd) patients produce many thoughts with their fear (obsessions) in a pattern that makes us do a behavior which gets repeated due to pattern production of thoughts. This behavior when stopped willingly causes conflicts and anxiety. How much we try to get rid of it, it keeps coming until those brain cells change. The evil cycle of ocd becomes ritualistic.

Pandas syndrome is caused by-

When childrens or adults get infection with strep, as defense their body produces antibodies to fight out the bacteria that causes it. As strep can mimic the healthy cell so antibodies also start to kill the healthy cells. Some reports say that this affects the brain tissues, mainly basal ganglia, causing pandas.

Mechanisms:

The mechanism of pandas occuring is similar to rheumatic fever. Streptococcus infect the body which causes our body to defend itself. Immune system produces antibodies that attack basal ganglia cells and cause neuropsychiatric conditions.

Streptococcus bacterial cell walls have antigens that are similar in protein of the brain and tissues. The antibodies damage that tissue. This mechanism also happens in rheumatic fever. Strep bacteria are destroyed by antibodies but due to similarity joints (arthritis), brain, blood veins get damaged. In pandas antibody damages the brain cell typically basal ganglia that helps the body with movement. This damage causes ocd and tics in humans.

Pans and pandas:

1) pans stands for pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome. Whereas pandas stands for autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcus infections.

2) pandas are related to strep infection but pan is related to other diseases like lyme diseases (caused by the bacteria scientifically named as borrelia burgdorferi and borrelia mayonii. When any infected tick bites human it gets transferred. Fever, headache, fatigue migraines are the symptoms) and influenza.

Diagnosis of pandas

There is no test to run to diagnose pandas. But a clinical health provider can evaluate child symptoms and his/ her performance on a physical test.

A cunningham pane is a tool developed and commercialized by moleculera labs used to diagnose pandas and pans. It uses antibodies assay to detect the problem.

Treatment:

Antibiotics: children who are infected with strep have symptoms like fever, pain, swallowing difficulty. They need antibiotics.

Prevention:

Patients with active strep infection should be avoided-

We should not share food and drinks. Personal items may be avoided to share such as toothbrushes.

Wash your hands with soap and clean it with sanitizer frequently.

Conclusion:

This pandas or pans condition is not treatable with allopathy. Antibiotics can kill the bacteria but ocd can only be removed by therapy and meditation. People are advised to do yoga and meditation.
