You can take analgesics and do warm saline rinses for the time being. This will give you some relief temporarily. But do consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the same.

Congratulations for your pregnancy, the safest pain reliever would be paracetamol, but only after the approval of your gynaecologist.

Swelling on the side of the jaw could be due to parotid salivary gland. If possible send me picture and radiographs of that area. This is quite broad query, need to evaluate properly without concluding anything.

Dear lybrate-user you need to visit your dentist for proper evaluation. your dentist will need an x-ray of the tooth to evaluate its actual status and then it can be established whether the tooth needs to undergo for root canal treatment before restoring your tooth or the broken structure can be created without undergoing root canal treatment.

Tooth decay or a cavity is the most common reason for tooth pain. Applying a cold compress to your jaw or cheek and taking over-the-counter pain medication may help to reduce the symptoms. You may need to discuss it further over a call so that your issue can be addressed in a right way.
Thanks.

If one or more of your teeth is affected by chronic pain, nerve damage could be the cause. You may need an examination to identify the actual cause. We may connect over a call for a further detailed consultation.
Thanks.
