The symptoms you have mentioned can be due to developing deviated nasal septum, nasal obstructions like polyps, tonsillitis etc. Sometimes it can be related to mouth breathing habit which will cause severe future teeth and jaw related abnormality. You please visit a pediatrician/ ENT specialist/ pedodontist/Oral medicine dental specialist for confirmation.

Others do it as a response to pain, such as from an earache or teething. Kids might grind their teeth as a way to ease the pain, just as they might rub a sore muscle. Many kids outgrow these fairly common causes for grinding. Stress — usually nervous tension or anger — is another cause.

Actual cause for night grinding (nocturnal bruxism) can not be diagnosed here. You have to visit an oral medicine specialist. Once it is diagnosed it can be reduced over time by counselling, medicines, jaw exercises, electrical nerve stimulations and various other methods. For the time being you can use night guard which prevents frictional loss of remaining tooth structures.
