Night bruxism can b due to various reasons. A few reasons being excessive stress, hyperactive jaw nerves n muscles, phycological disorder, teeth malocclusion. Get your self evaluated by dentist to know the cause of your prob n get treated accordingly. Meanwhile ask your dentist for night guards which'll prevent undue wearing of your teeth leading to sensitivity n other probs.

First of all you are very wrong in your concepts, cleaning or scaling procedure dosent means grinding of teeth, scaler just works on the meachanism of vibration, by which it removes the stains, plaque or calculas deposited on the teeth.& for pyria patients regular scaling & polishing procedure is mandatory, go to a good dentist & get it done. Brush your teeth twice, rinse after meal, regular flossing atleast once daily, use mouthwash for gargles, use gumpaint gummex or stolin & massage your gums...more
