Cancer is caused by uncontrolled growth of cells in an area of our body. It can be due to loss of function of tumor suppressor genes or due to increased function of oncogenes.
Screening is recommended for a few cancers to help in early detection and cure.

Cancer is abnormal uncontrolled proliferation of cells which may present as lump, ulceration, abnormal bleeding, weight loss, fever, change in bowelor bladder habits, change in voice, difficulty in swallowing etc depending on organ affected. Blood cancer present as proliferation of one of the components of blood causing suppression of others.hence leading to symptoms like prolonged fever, frequent infection, anemia, easy bleeding or bruising, lymphadenopathy, organ enlargement etc. Lung cancer present as Cough, fever, weight loss, blood in sputum, difficulty in breathing or sometime change in voice.
