Normal level of vitamin d is 20-50ng/ml. Level below 20ng/ml is considered deficient. Since your vitamin d level is 34.26 it is within normal limit. However you can continue with shelcal hd and exposure to sunlight for 30 minutes in the morning daily since you have osteoporosis.

well, if you are vegetarian then best source of calcium is milk products.
You can take protein powders and do weight bearing exercises. May be go to a gym and do weight training.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. I think you wanted to mention early stage of osteoarthritis and not osteoporosis.
My suggestions for early oa will be: - start doing daily brisk walks for at least 2-3 km in a day in mornings.
- intensive knee - quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises should be initiated initially in presence of a trained physical therapist and then at home on your own

as you have osteoporosis you need to take calcium supplements as long as you live .also do
1. take vitamin D along with calcium
2.do weight bearing exercise
3.include calcium rich food in the diet like custard apple
4. there are medications available to support bone health , if the osteoporosis is bad .

It may be due to osteoporosis or hip arthritis or hip synovitis.
