Oral cancer symptoms are most of the time dicrectly related to habits like chewing tobacco or smoking, or chronic trauma to the tissues which causes cancer like changes. Very rarely does it arise spontaneously. To give you a correct idea about what the diagnosis is I would like a few more details about the wound you have mentioned (a little detail about the history of the problem) or you could provide a photograph of the lesion/wound.

Blood cancer is caused by the proliferation of one of the component of blood causing suppression of others. Hence can cause frequent infection, anemia, easy bleeding bone pains, lymph node enlargement. Routine blood tests for above symptoms and blood picture can lead to early diagnosis.

Cancer is caused by abnormal growth of few cells. Usually caused when some disturbance in signalling pathways causing uncontrolled proliferation of cells. They may be genetic or caused by lifestyle related like smoking, tobacco chewing pesticides pollution, radiation exposure, some viruses. We must avoid known carcinogens and go for regular screening check up.
