Please look out for any white lesion in the mouth. Ulcers that do not heal. Or any other swelling
Smoking can not only cause mouth cancer but also cancer of the food pipe, lungs, stomach, pancreas etc.
Best way to avoid cancer, is to stop smoking. No number is the right number to avoid cancer. Of course more the cigarettes, more the chances.

Cancer is abnormal uncontrolled proliferation of cells leading to formation of lumps. It may also present as nonhealing ulceration, abnormal bleeding, weight loss, fever, change in bowelor bladder habits sore throat etc, depending on the organ effected. Some cancers are hereditary and can be transferred from one generation to other like breast cancer, ovarian cancer, family of cancer syndrome like men etc. But the percentage of familial cancers are only 5-7%. Rest are mostly acquired.

Blood cancer is caused by abnormal proliferation of one of the components of blood, leading to suppression of others.hence leading to symptoms like prolonged fever, frequent infection, bleeding or easy bruising, lumps or lymphadenopathy. Blood cancer depending on type are treated by chemotherapy mostly and many have very long disease free survival and are almost curable but everything depends on how patients respond to treatments.
