Peripheral Neuropathy is one of the most common long term complication of long standing diabetes. It is seen even when blood glucose may be well controlled. I have seen the details mentioned. In patients with diabetes peripheral neuropathy does develop. But mostly symptoms are quite manageable. However, if diabetes is not well controlled, then the severity can be bad. In your case, there is no mention of current glucose levels and hba1c% as well as lipid profile, bp.
