maxgalin (pregabalin) group of medicines are better to be avoided on a long run for its side effects and dose increase. It can better be replaced with other preferred options like gabapentin etc. In your case, if you are having progressive symptoms lately, you need to go through a check up to prevent increase in pain.

Take a warm bath, and then gently stretch your muscles. If you have pain in the lower part of your leg, try pointing and straightening your toes when sitting or standing. If you have pain in the upper part of your leg, try to bend over and touch your toes. You can do this while sitting on the ground or standing up.

I suppose that most of your issues can be ascribed to you being a diabetic and thus can be resolved by discussion with an endocrinologist / general physician who is managing your diabetes.
