In a patient with long standing diabetes peripheral neuropathy is quite common. This can happen even with a fairly good control. Because high blood glucose affects peripheral nerve functions. Treatment is to achieve strict glucose control (fbg < 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% <6.5%), plus take drugs that are supposed to be helping in improving nerve function and control the symptoms. Dear lybrate-user as I can see you your father blood sugar levels are not under control counter side his frequent urination and neuropthy is because of increase in blood sugars. I suggest you to do further investigation like ffb, ppbs.hba1c, rft.based on the result further call can be taken.
