Blood cancer is due to uncontrolled proliferation of one of the components of blood causing suppression of others.hence leading to symptoms like prolonged fever, frequent infections,bleeding from Anywhere, weight loss, anaemia, fatigue, Organ enlargement like liver or spleen enlargement, bone pains. Diagnosis is done by blood and bone marrow tests and treatment is done by chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant.

Dear mam, blood is composed of combination of cells like white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, plasma cells etc. When there is uncontrolled growth of one of the components it is called blood cancer. Dear mam, cancer arises from cells within out body. The cells become uncontrolled and autonomous and cause symptoms like lumps, bleeding, ulceration, abnormal weight loss, fever, altered bowel habits etc. These symptoms may be due to other diseases as well but only if they continue for a long period like over a month or so, seek medical advice.

Even though the symptoms are very much suggestive of cancer she needs to be evaluated with blood tests, usg abdomen /CT/MRCP to confirm the diagnosis. There are also conditions other than cancer that can have a similar picture. Once the diagnosis is made then treatment will be decided based on the stage and condition of the patient. You need to show her to a oncologist or gastroenterologist for work up.
