Diabetes does not affect the body organs all of sudden, it damages slowly, it is a long drawn process. But if sugar levels are well controlled this process can be almost stopped. So to prevent organ damage, most important action is to control the blood sugar levels.

As you have already mentioned you are having only one kidney so i just want to let you know sir increase in size of your another kidney could be a part of compansatory mechanism because your single kidney is doing overwork than its capacity so it is obvious to get increase in size, if you are not facing any other problematic symptoms like pain or any sensation or any urine related issuesthen this is not a big deal just stay relaxed and dont get stressed unneccessarly.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Madam the information given is very general. So it does not give any idea about blood glucose levels & HbA1c% as well as current treatment. Also there is no information on weight, height and extent of daily exercise being done. Plus information regarding BP readings, serum creatinine & urea level and lipid profile is also needed.
Then present dietary pattern is also required to give any suggestions or other guidelines. Thanks.

The best time to consume whey protein is before and after training. This way, your body will use the extra protein to build and repair muscle fibers. For optimal results, add dextrose, raw honey, fruits or other carb sources to your post-workout shake.
