Dear sir, most of the agencies do not allow organ donation from patients suffering from cancer as there may be some risk of transferring the disease, however you must talk to your urologist prior to such commitments. With explained risk to recipient it can be tried, but I personally would not advocate it.

Yes cancer occurence may have a hereditary component and your husband is definitely at an increased risk of developing cancer than normal population, but it is not necessary that he develops it. Just be cautious, go in for regular checks may be annual with an oncologist.

Cancer is abnormal uncontrolled proliferation of cells which may present as lump, ulceration, abnormal bleeding, weight loss, fever, change in bowelor bladder habits, change in voice, difficulty in swallowing etc depending on organ affected.
