There are 2 types of Diabetes mellitus. In Type 1 Diabetes, Insulin is not secreted by the pancreas, hence it is known as insulin dependenent Diabetes and in Type 2 Insulin is secreted by blood but is not effective in reducing blood sugar and hence it is known as Non insulin dependent Diabetes mellius. The symptoms in both type are same
