That is one of the reasons why about 46% of diabetic patients do not know that they have developed the condition. Typical symptoms are excess thirst, excess hunger, excess eating plus feeling of tiredness & unexplained weight loss. In low blood glucose (hypoglycemia), symptoms are feeling of weakness, uneasiness, hunger, sweating on forehead, blurred vision, difficulty in concen...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Blood glucose level of 253 mg means there is diabetes, which needs to be treated appropriately. Drugs, diet and exercise are the method of treatment. When blood glucose goes above 180 mg, urine is bound to contain glucose. Please also check HbA1c% and lipid profile and get the treatment initiated. Thanks.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Please let me know where did you get this information that sweet fruits or etra sugar does not increase blood glucose? I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
If you don't eat, your blood sugar levels are lower and medication may drop them even more, which can lead to hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia can cause you to feel shaky, pass out, or even go into a coma. When you “break” your fast by eating, you may also be more likely to develop too-high blood sugar levels.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you...more

Diabetes is a condition wherein one suffers from high blood sugar levels. Gestational diabetes is a form of diabetes which occurs only during pregnancy. It is certainly possible to bear a healthy child, provided certain lifestyle modifications are adhered to. Once the baby is born, the condition usually tends to disappear. However, this does make you prone to Type 2 diabetes (a condition wherein the body is unable to utilize the insulin effectively).

It shows a pre-diabetic state. However, there can be 10-15 % variability in the glucometer readings. It would be ideal to check blood sugar both fasting and pp in the lab once a year. Doing an hba1c also helps in diagnosis. Alternatively, you can get a glucose tolerance test done also.
