Your wife must have got infected about 2 weeks ago and developed symptoms today. 9 weeks old baby also would have come in contact with same same person from where your wife got infection. Vaccination status of mother againest chicken pox is not known. Under the situation, it is adviseble to consult pediatician.

Chickenpox (varicella) is caused by a virus
chickenpox is spread like a cold, by coughing and sneezing and also by contact with fluid from the chickenpox blisters
classic symptom of chickenpox is a rash that turns into itchy, fluid-filled blisters that eventually turn into scabs
also have some mild flu-like symptoms.
Chickenpox infection usually lasts about five to 10 days.

High temperature (fever), aches and headache often start a day or so before a rash appears.
Spots (a rash). Spots appear in crops. The spots develop into small blisters and are itchy.
Loss of appetite, tiredness and feeling sick are common.
Antiviral drug is used for reducing the duration of illness and painkillers for pain and fever and lot of fluids and rest for 1 week.

If chicken pox is confirmed by a clinician, you should have lot of fluid intake. Maintain good personal hygiene by regular bath etc. Avoid direct contact with people because it spreads to others who had no chicken pox anytime in the past or have not received its vaccine. Since chicken pox is likely to be severe and troublesome when occurred in adulthood it is better to consult a physician for proper medication like a course of antiviral medications and tablets for prevalent complaints.
