U need to take Physiotherapy Treatment for some weeks by a good Physiotherapist, when your muscles strengthened than your problem resolves slowly slowly. U have to do exercises as your physio sujjest. As you say slight movement starts than you can walk properly, but exercise should be in proper way. U can take 2nd &3rd opinion obviously. Good luck.

For defence aspirants LASIK (either blade free/ flap less etc) is not advisable as the strength of the cornea is compromised due to the procedure. In the event of a combat, there is a chance that the flap may get dislodged. You can go for contact lenses.

it is possible for infants to wear glasses using head bands.. in fact glasses will be important so that complete visual developement and teaming between 2 eyes can take place.

It was good you were able to detect and surgically treat cataract in time.. but u still need to continue with treatment to ensure the best visual outcomes for your baby.

a. most important factor is the pocket of patinet...usually alcon or AMO lenses are very good but these may be expensive...if you can afford then go for these lenses else go with simple hydrophilic lenses

You can safely go for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens, after control of blood sugar you will have to take clearance from cardiologist & few days before surgery you will have to stop taking aspirin. You should get operated where there is facility for cardiac monitoring in operation theatre must be attended by cardiologist during surgery, with regards.
