lasik is very good option to get rid of glasses
Doctor will perform few tests (Schirmer test, Pentacam and Fundus examination) and if all tests are normal then you can go for lasik surgery without fear.
Success rate of LASIK is over 96%. It has no relation with oral cavity.

cataract surgery at age of 23 ? .. acrylic lens if it is monofocal is mostly designed to correct distance vision.. for near vision you will require glasses that can be prescribed after one month

Hello Doctor, I am from Jaipur, Rajasthan and 30 years old. 8 years ago I was disorganized with CRVO disorder. I was asked to leave the condition as it is and to keep a check over the swelling occurred around it. Over regular checkup I was told that I have swelling in my right eye as well and steroid (prednisolone) was prescribed to control the inner inflammation. Using steroid over a period of time helped developing cataract in my right eye. Now doctor says my left eye actual had CRAO instead of CRVO and it cannot be cured and as far as my right eye is concerned it has chronic uveitis along with cataract. The root cause for uveitis is TB. I'm taking prednisolone eyedrop+ethambutol 1200 mg+rifampicin 600 mg+pyrazinamide 750 mg as daily dose since 1 and half month which I guess are working my overall vision. I see no improvement in my eyes except a little improvement in uveitis. Doctors are not giving a specific time for the cataract surgery and I am facing challenges to perform my day to day activities. Request you to please review and help me.

cataract surgery will be performed only when uveitis heals...we wait for 6 months afetr uveitis heals and then operate cataract so in your case you have to wait for minimum 9 months or more for cataract surgery

Dear doctor, I got cataract surgery 30 days ago, with multifocal lens implanted, now fifth week, and on drops twice daily, my concern now is, still not through my eye sight, glare and bright, and a small line is passing horizontally from right. I am 63 years and recently got eye surgery for cataract, now in third week, and as advised I have chosen multifunctiional lens. Just wanted to know, whether the brightness of the operated eye will be there for some time, because when compare to other eye this one looks brighter, this fourth week doctor as askeme to take eye drops twice a day.- PREDPOST drops, my concern is: when will this be normal, I am feeling somewhat uneasy and night drive is not comfortable, earlier I was wearing specs for short sight, and from last one and half years using for reading (my right eye is for reading) pl suggest me. You are seeing brighter objects because earlier your vision was restricted due
to cataract. Glares & haloes is a factual problem with multifocal lenses. You may
get used to them with time.

I am 79 years of age. I am a diabetic patient for more than 25 years and am on insulin. Last I had undergone KidneyBiopsy due my creatine level on very high side. I had taken 4 injections and the creatine level is almost normal. But the Potassium level is always slightly on the higher side. I would like to undergo a cataract surgery of my left eye, but due to my blood sugar fluctuating, unable to do the cataract surgery. Will you please advise as to how do I stabilise my blood sugar. For your information, I am also on Steroids i.e. Defcort 6 mg for the past more than 1 year Please advise.

You will have to be managed closely. Also if you are on any other oral hypoglycemic agents, they need to be discontinued. And your diabetes need to managed with insulin alone prior to surgery. This should help you to reduce your blood sugar
