Recurrent sye is an indication of visual refractive error and need vision test The most common types of refractive errors are myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, and astigmatism. Myopia (nearsightedness) is a condition where objects up close appear clearly, while objects far away appear blurry. With myopia, light comes to focus in front of the retina instead of on the retina.

Yes It is true that Chalazion doesn't go away with medical treatment as it a pus encapsulated in deeper layers of lid unlike stye Which is superficial infection with a pus point on skin. Chalazion is usually due to chronic eye strain mostly from Refractive error (glasses no.) And usually patient is not wearing glasses or wearing wrong prescription glasses. So the cause must be treated so that there is no recurring Chalazion. I prefer to give hot fomentation trial for every case of Chalazion too....more

Hello Lybrate user. Styes are due to bacterial infection. Recurrent styes problems can be very well solved with the help of Homoeopathic treatment. It need proper treatment. Only yoga or eye exercise won't be able to cure the problem. Staphysagrai 30 / 2 globs x 3 times a day will help you. You can consult me in private for full treatment.

Recurrent stye is a sign that u r frequently touching ur eyes...It may be habitual, due to allergies , dryness or refractive error or some eyelid disease. Also rule out diabetes.

The best medicine is to maintain hand and eye hygiene. Keep them clean to prevent eye and eyelid infections.
