Eye drops do not usually cause damage over such short period, even steroid eye drops. Continued use over years can lead to cataract. But if there is an underlying infection which did not get treated properly, there is a high probability of loss of vision due to pus collecting in the eye or ulcers developing over the eye.

Hello. Kindly follow your doctor’s advise as he has rightly prescribed you the medications. Steroids are to be tapered only and never stopped abruptly.
Taking steroids for this much of shorter time would not cause major side effects. So no need to worry. Hope this helps. You can reach me out for any further queries. Thank you.

Hello sir. Foreign body sensation is a very common eye condition. It can be objective (with some actual foreign body - an object) or subjective (just a sensation - no object). One has to examine your eyes in details before deciding which category it will lie in. Upper and lower palpebral conjunctiva has to be seen carefully to rule out an organic cause of your fb sensation. If something is there, treatment will be aimed at removing it. Otherwise, if it’s clear, treatment will differ.

Hello sir. Looking at your symptoms I can say that either your refraction status (eye power) must have changed a bit or if not so, you need to get checked up in a little bit more detail by an ophthalmologist to rule out any other eye condition like glaucoma which might be causing these symptoms. It is prudent to get an opinion right away since glaucoma being an irreversible condition is manageable if diagnosed at the right time. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello sir. Excess of mucus/ eye discharge can be either due to some infection inside the eyes or because of blockage of the tear passage draining into the nose. Both conditions are treatable. Firstly one has to start medications for the same and then if not improving with such measures, one has to undergo a surgery as the last resort. Hope this helps. You can reach me out for consultation and for addressing your concerns in further details in a more personalised manner. Thank you.

Hello. Itching and discomfort in the eyes has no relation whatsoever with myopia. Yes pigmentation definitely is related. If you have myopia, not wearing glasses may lead to eye strain which eventually makes one rub their eyes frequently.
Kindly provide a photograph of your eyes so as to get an opinion for online consultation by an ophthalmologist. One should get their glasses checked up atleast every yearly. Also retina examination is equally important at every visit. High myopic eyes are m...more

Avoid running your eyes during extreme burning episodes. This will cause more harm to the cornea in the long run. You can use some lubricating eye dr...more
