Please continue the antibiotics as prescribed for the complete course. The discharge is normal and has to be cleant with a sterile gauze which is available at a pharmacy. If the discharge is pus or if you have any localized pain, or swelling or even if a fever arises, it might have gotten infected. Yes you will be able to however the knee should not flexed and extended continuously. Since healing takes time, it is better to keep the knee stable till it heals. If it is a deep cut it will take a bit more time to heal if the knee is being active continuously. But yes she will get full function at the knee after it heals.
